9am – A traditional Book of Common Prayer Service, which is quiet and reflective, with traditional hymns, and an anthem led by our choir. This service lasts about an hour, and includes a short sermon. There is no children’s work provided at this service.

At the end of the service there is an opportunity to mix and mingle with those arriving for the 10.45 service, with coffee / tea etc., and the opportunity for prayer ministry.

10.45am – We have a lively contemporary service, which is family orientated, relaxed, and modern in feel. Music is led by our Worship Team. Our talks make use of modern A/V technology, and children/young people are well catered for by our committed and fun-loving kid’s teams. We worship together for the first 25 mins before children and young people leave to attend their own groups.

3rd & 5th Sundays: Holy Communion.

All Age – On the 1st Sunday of the month our 10.45 Service is "All Age Worship" – meaning loud, fun and fully inclusive.

Easter Sunday (20th April)

Easter Sunday is the day we celebrate Jesus Christ's resurrection.

Our Mature Companions Club meets on the second, third and fourth Wednesdays of the month, in the church hall from 12pm, for lunch, chat, games and companionship. Lunch is by donation and all over 60’s are welcome.

Fancy a bit of informal Ping Pong fun? Then come along to the church hall on a Wednesday evening from 7.15 to 8.45pm. All ages, all standards, friendly, informal, fun activity. Sparkles is for babies up to 15 months, their parents, grandparents, and carers. Expectant parents are very welcome!

You’ll find a warm welcome and a chance to meet other families. We’ll have time for a song, lots of quality age-appropriate toys and books, which are safe and clean, and a clean, soft floor space to explore safely.

​We want every new baby to have the opportunity to be themselves and shine. They can only do this if the special people around them also have a “hug” from time to time. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, infusions, squash and tempting treats are available.

​We have a large car park, changing facilities; you can bring your buggy; and you are welcome to feed your baby.

Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting, takes place after the 10.45am service.  If you have been regularly attending St. Chad’s for 6 months or more, you may join the Electoral Roll and be eligible to vote. Please pick up a form from the back of church or form the church office and return it to Pauline, our electoral Roll Officer.

Harvest Festival is about giving thanks for a successful crop yield over the year as winter starts to approach. The festival is also about giving thanks for all the good and positive things in people's lives, such as family and friendships.

For our Harvest this year, we are planning to make up bags for the home less. we will also have our usual collection for the food bank and sweets for shoeboxes.

There will be a great variety of goodies for you to buy - come and start your Christmas shopping! Plus there will be the usual tombolas, children’s activities, Santa’s Grotto, Christmas Raffle, and Christmas Coffee Shop.

We will need help to set up on Friday 20th November from 4.15pm, so if you are able to come along, that would be great! Help will also be needed to clear up at the end of the day, so from 2.30pm onwards, again, if you are able to help, please come along.

Please come along and help us pack our shoeboxes. If you don’t like packing shoeboxes, there are other jobs - wrapping boxes*, packing them into cartons or helping with refreshments and lunch. Up until Shoebox Day, we will be collecting anything at all that is suitable and can fit in a shoebox.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided and hopefully we will finish early afternoon, we'd also be grateful for help on Friday 14th from 4.15pm setting up.
