Opening

The Chapel is open everyday.

Getting here

This ancient chapel built in 654 AD by St Cedd, missionary of Essex, is a cradle of Christianity in the British Isles.

In July the Chapel has been the focus of an annual pilgrimage for many years and it is always open to pilgrims and visitors.

Once a month on a Thursday we celebrate a simple communion service. During the summer there is a series of evening services which are attended by worshippers from many different races and denominations. Quiet Days are also arranged throughout the year and the Chapel is used regularly by members of the Othona Community.
