This year 28 people came to Christ Church for a meal of fish and chips, desserts and coffee, and others held their meal at home. This was replicated across our four churches in the Parish. We all left our meal 'in haste' afterwards to replicate what the Israelites did when they fled slavery in Egypt. We all met together at Emmanuel Church to celebrate Holy Communion. As we left the Service, the candles were blown out and the lights were dimmed to remind us that we were going out into the sorrow of Good Friday.
