Steve Willoughby from ‘Home Instead’ gave a very helpful PowerPoint presentation on how not to become a victim of fraud either by doorstep scammers, online, or by telephone.  We were able to ask him questions and he also gave out leaflets which explained how to avoid being caught out by very plausible callers asking for our PIN numbers - something a bank would never do.  It got everyone talking and, as well as information on how to block scam emails and calls, Steve reminded us of things we did know but maybe had forgotten!  We all then had lunch together and carried on the conversation!
