Each evening begins with screening an episode of Jimmy McGovern’s critically acclaimed BBC series "Broken". Starring Sean Bean, the script draws on material written by New Testament theologian and Canon Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral, Paula Gooder. The screening is followed by a time of reflection and discussion based on the drama's themes and scenarios. We conclude with Compline - also known as Night Prayer or the Prayers at the End of the Day - in the church chancel at 9.30pm. All are welcome.

A beautiful and evocative act of worship, Tenebrae simply means 'darkness' or 'shadows' and the liturgy is a simple ritual of extinguishing candles as we hear readings from Scripture, poetry and music that help us to identify with Christ's sufferings as we enter into the darkness of his final hours and death. But it ends with a noisy celebration of his resurrection (still in darkness).
