In November. Every Third Sunday at for 1 hour
Venue Address
Church Road A330 Winkfield Windsor Berkshire, SL4 4SE, United Kingdom
Holy communion service, centred around safeguarding.

Safeguarding Sunday is an opportunity to meet your safeguarding team, acknowledge and thank your volunteers, and explain why safeguarding is important to everybody.

As church, God calls us to:
protect the weak (James 1:27)
speak up for those whose voices are not heard (Proverbs 31:8)
follow Jesus’ example of servant leadership (Luke 22:26)
and
pursue God’s heart for justice for all (Micah 6:8).

It’s our joy and privilege to join in with God’s mission to bring healing to the broken hearted, restore justice, and offer freedom and light where there is pain and darkness.

Safeguarding is everyone’s business because God is in the business of drawing close to the weak. As God stoops down to lift up those who need his help, so too must we draw alongside the vulnerable among us.

This service is held annually on the third Sunday in November

Winkfield: St Mary

St Mary's church provides an opportunity for people of all ages to worship in a traditional and friendly atmosphere.

We use the 1662 Book of Common Prayer at our Morning Prayer and Communion services and take our readings from the King James version of The Bible.

The ancient church building has stood on its present site in the heart of Winkfield for at least 700 years. It is famous for its unusual oak pillars along the centre of the aisle, one given to the Church by Elizabeth 1st

The parish of Winkfield, Cranbourne & Chavey Down is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services
