The Annual Drayton St Leonard Church Fête weekend will start on Saturday 29 June 2024 with the Celebration of Summer Flower display opening in the Church at 10am. The Fête itself runs from 1pm to 4:30pm in the Peace Field next to the playground, roughly opposite the pub, and close to the church. For free parking follow the signs down the drive to Manor Farm off Stadhampton Road on the way to Drayton View.

Timings and details of the events and stalls will be found in the Lucky Programme sold at the entrance. Enjoy Morris dancers, the Beer Tent featuring local ales, Sally Marquee Seating Area, Pimm’s /Lager tent, Tea Tent and Drayton St Leonard Bake Off Cake Decorating competition, BBQ, Ploughman’s and Sandwiches, area for picnic blankets (bring your own blankets, tables, chairs gazebos), Dog Obstacle course, Dog Show, Crockery Smash, Children’s Corner featuring games and Face Painting, Bouncy Obstacle Course, Blat the Rat, Books and Games stall, Bric a Brac stall, The Great Drayton St Leonard Raffle Ticket sales desk, Handbags stall, Plant stall, Produce stall, Bottle game stand, Welly Wanging (see you wellies fly with the Wright Brothers!), Lucky Ladder, Vehicle show (featuring Cars, bikes, Farm machinery), and The Egg Throwing Competition!

The Fête events close at 4:30pm, the Flower Display closes at 4pm.

On Sunday 30 June 2024 the "Celebration of Summer" with Flowers, Music Event and Service opens with the second day of the Flower Festival at 10am, and the Music and Service running from 10:30 to around 11:30. The Musicians are talented villagers or local. The Church Bells will ring and the organ played.

From Noon on, move to the ford across the river Thame for the Duck Race (subject to river conditions). If postponed see updates on the DSL email group or Facebook.

The church benefits from a skilled team of flower artists who decorate the church throughout the year. They and other invited arrangers will be accepting bids for the flower displays throughout the weekend, winners can collect their flowers at 2pm on Sunday.

The Great Drayton St Leonard Church Fête Raffle tickets are now available to purchase with the star prize a voucher towards Lunch for 2 at Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons and many more prizes. Buy your tickets on line, click “Download” on this page. Just £1 a ticket or £10 for a book of 10 tickets. Raffle tickets will also be sold Door-to Door, and at the Fête on Saturday before the draw.

Entry to the Fête is by a suggested donation of £2 for a Lucky Programme sold at the gates, either at the playground entrance or at the Car park entrance. Many events are not covered in this summary page, the Lucky Programme contains full details of the weekend's events.

Pedegree Ducks for the Sunday Duck Race have to be bought before the Fête ends on Saturday, to allow the ducks prep time to preen themselves and get quacking. Buy tickets at the Raffle desk.

Bids for the Flower Displays will be accepted in church during the Flower display, winners collect there at 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
