South Moreton Church is pleased to announce that the Safari Supper (will take place on Saturday 30th September starting off at 6.30pm at (or outside if good weather) the church. Once suitable ammounts of drinks and canapes have been consumed you will learn the identity of your main course host and head off there for a hearty repast. Later we will all rendezvous (some more on time than others!) at The Crown for puddings and doubtless a few more drinks afterwards! Tickets are £20 a head (hosts go free) and can be booked via the More Info button below. Please use the appropriate multiple of £20 for the number of guests you're paying for and please let Simon Hill know you've booked either by DM, email [email protected] or text to 07733 266395 (your bank or credit card doesn't always identify you adequately). Please bring a bottle of your favourite hooch so you don't drink your main course host out of house and home. Although all funds go to South Moreton Church this event is for the whole community, so long as you're allowed to be up that late! So do come and enjoy the best event in the village! If you would like to host or contribute a plate of canapes or a pudding please let Simon know via the same means. We very much look forward to seeing you there!

St John the Baptist's Church, South Moreton

Welcome to South Moreton Church and thanks for looking us up!  Dedicated to St John the Baptist, we are the Parish Church for our village and part of the Church Benefice Group of Churches. We hold regular services at 1030 am on the second Sunday of the month and at Christmas and Easter, with outside services for Remembrance Sunday, Rogation Sunday and carol singing. We can also join in the online services run by our Benefice every Sunday at 10.30 which you can read about at The Churn Benefice (see menu left) .

Most of our administration, including arranging Baptisms, weddings and funerals, is handled through the Churn Benefice Office in Blewbury, where Jason, our Rector, is based. He would love to hear from you so please do get in touch! You can call him or our Administrator on 01235 850267 or email [email protected] . In the village, you are also welcome to call Simon Hill, one of our churchwardens, on 07733 266395 or email him on [email protected] .
