South Moreton's delayed Candlemas service will be on 11th February at 10.30am. Officially known as The Presentation of Christ in The Temple, it's the last of the celebrations following the Birth of Christ, so if you still have your decs up, they need to come down on the official date of 2nd February ! We will supply the candles, but for many of the 1300 years South Moreton Church has existed, villagers would have brought candles to be blessed that would light their homes throughout the coming year. It’s nice to be a part of that continuity, and we look forward to welcoming a good number of members of our community that day, as we have for so long!
