Sotwell: St James
A warm welcome awaits you at the 8.00 am said services in St.James' Sotwell, in the parish of Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, part of the Team Benefice of Wallingford. Our church is large enough to accommodate all our regular worshippers with social distancing without the need to book or reserve a place.
Services take place on the second and fourth Sundays (Common Worship Communion) and fifth Sunday (Book of Common Prayer). Other services take place at St. Agatha's but with alternating Joint Services at roughly 6 week intervals (St. James' / St. Agatha's) as advertised in the previous Sunday's pew sheet & under the calendar of events.
The parish of Brightwell cum Sotwell is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
