Over Norton: St James
It is with huge sadness that this April 2021 saw the last service at St. James' Chapel, Over Norton.
The chapel building has had an interesting history, including being used as a school and a Mission Room, and was licensed for Holy Communion, renamed as St. James’ Chapel and attached to St. Mary’s, Chipping Norton in the 1940s.
The much-loved chapel has been enjoyed by a small but faithful congregation, and we especially send our love and prayers to our brothers and sisters for whom this has been their worshipping home. -

This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving.
