About Us

We are a family-friendly church and we warmly welcome visitors from near and far to join us in our worship. Holy Trinity Church is a pretty village church and an ideal setting for weddings, christenings, etc. Please contact the Churchwardens, for more information, who will be pleased to answer any questions you may have. We also hold two Messy Church sessions per year, one on Easter Saturday 10am - 12:30pm and one at Christmas, usually a Sunday in late November / early December. Messy Church is a new fun way of doing church for all the family. The format for each Messy Church remains loosely the same, with each session based around a different theme and lasting for about two and a half hours. For the first 60 minutes "messy" activities are offered relating to the theme of the day - during past sessions we have made footprints in paint, made Easter gardens, crafted crosses, decorated Easter baskets, made Christmas cards, Advent candles and wonderful baby Jesus crafts. One Christmas we even made a cardboard church for the Vicar! It is a time for everyone to get creative and get stuck in! 

Following the activities is a short story or video related to the theme of the day. This is simple in style, with the children encouraged to join in and show everyone the things that have been made and a couple of songs are sung. We finish off by sharing a meal, giving everyone a chance to sit down and chat - adults and children together.
