It was on 28th March 1993 that the first services were held in Christ the King Church in Milton Keynes. OK, also in Milton Keynes, St Lawrence's Church is this year celebrating its 800th birthday, which makes our 30 years look pretty negligible, but Christ the King was a band new church, built in an entirely new development area and to a pretty innovative model of a share Protestant and Roman Catholic building. Our intention is to keep going to match that 800th birthday of St Lawrence's - unless (of course) in the meantime Christ returns.
The picture shows the church under construction in 1992.
