Granborough: St John the Baptist

We have finally come to the long expected moment, when we have almost reached the fundraising target and can therefore start with the work on the tower. The scaffolding is going up on Monday 20th February and the work itself will start on 6th of March. We cannot tell exactly how long the restoration work will take, because the extent of the work will be properly assessed once the scaffolding is up. It can be anything between 3-6 months. We will keep you updated about the progress. There will inevitably some disruption and so we ask for your patience. Please ensure your safety when you visit the churchyard and follow any safety instructions that will be displayed by the contractor managing the site. We are grateful for everyones support and for the many generous donations and grants which made the restoration of our church tower possible.
