Our Sunday morning service is a relaxed and welcoming service, where we want everyone to feel at home and that they belong. Each week there is worship, a talk, and space to pray, and once a month we share communion together. After a time of gathering and sung worship all together, our children and young people head out to Children’s Church to spend time in their age-specific groups. From time to time we enjoy ‘All-Age Services’ where we have no Children’s Church groups and instead remain together for a fun, family service.

Refreshments are available from 09.45 before the service, and after the service, providing an opportunity to chat and catch-up over a cup of tea or coffee.

The seating at St Peter's remains more relaxed than pre-covid, and an area where greater social distancing is possible is available. Recent changes in government guidance mean that the wearing of face masks is now optional. If you want to wear a face mask, we want you to feel completely comfortable in doing so - but it is no longer a requirement. We want to make Sundays as comfortable as possible for everyone.

This service is normally 'live streamed' as well, so whether you prefer to gather in the church building for worship or join us from the comfort of your own home, we are one church, worshipping together!

You can join us online either via our Youtube channel, or via our website, through 'More about this event' below.

We welcome you to our weekly 10am Service at St Peter’s. We look forward to welcoming you and worshipping with you!

We also want to reassure you that although restrictions are relaxing, the health and safety of our church family and visitors remains a priority. We will continue following good practice, ensuring good ventilation through our buildings, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and providing hand sanitiser. An alternative fortnightly service is also normally held at our sister church, St Mark's Hospital church, on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Details are here

However, as well as our continuing weekly services, there is also a lot more going on that you can get involved with:

Our small groups help us to grow spiritually, strengthen relationships and build community.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring questions of life, faith and meaning for those interested in finding out more about Jesus and the Christian faith.

There are opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the local community by providing practical support and phone contact for those who are isolated.

To keep up to date with all that is happening in the life of our church, contact our church office and subscribe to our mailing list.

The Church Office is open weekday mornings, as well as Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. If you need to contact us in relation to any pastoral, or other matter, please contact us through our church office on 01628 784053, email us on [email protected],  or through the  'Get in Touch' page.

The parish of Furze Platt is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).
