A warm welcome awaits you at services in St.Agatha's, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, one of six churches in the Wallingford team benefice. Our church is large enough to accommodate all our regular worshippers with social distancing without the need to book or reserve a place. Other activities include a junior choir, bell-ringing, coffee mornings and occasional concerts and recitals. The church is generally open to visitors during the day.
Our Sunday morning services are all at 9.30am. On the first Sunday of each month we have a Family Service where children and families are especially welcome. On subsequent Sundays Parish Communion is celebrated. Periodically a Team Communion is celebrated in one or other of the three parishes in the benefice.
A box near the North door in St.Agatha's is provided for Food Bank gifts of tinned or packet food.
The parish of Brightwell cum Sotwell is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
