As we begin Holy Week, The Crucifixion on Sunday 13 April at 6pm in St Mary’s, Horne, is an opportunity for us to reflect on the events of Good Friday and what they mean to us. Composed in the 19th century by John Stainer, the work lasts 1 hour and includes solos, choral sections and hymns for all to sing. The Benefice choir has been preparing since January and our performance will be given as a solemn act of worship, rather than a concert.
