Bereavement Journey

The Bereavement Journey - (bereavement course)

We are now taking bookings for the next course which commences on Friday 21st February 2025

The Bereavement Journey is a 7-week course held at Ratby Church rooms for those struggling to come to terms with the loss of a loved one no matter how long ago it happened.

Everyone will be bereaved sooner or later in some degree or another. Loss needs to be processed and how we deal with it will affect our mental and physical well-being and future.

Working through grief can take a long time and no two people will have the same loss or the same journey. We hope during these weeks of this course to be able to provide a few signposts to anyone processing the death of someone important to them, wherever they are on the journey...

Topics include.

• Attachment, separation and loss

• The pain and responses of grief

• Anger and guilt

• Coping with others’ reactions

• Delayed and suppressed grief

• Adjusting to change

• Moving forward healthily

Faith questions a Christian perspective - This is an extra OPTIONAL session held at end of course for any course member to attend

Places are limited so it is essential to book to attend. You need to commit to do the full course. We will not be making a formal charge for the course but a small donation to help with cost of materials and refreshments would be welcomed For details please ring Joan Hawkins -course leader Tel: 07545 909868
