About Us

With Revd Katie, the churchwardens and church members, at St James our vision is to be a Jesus centred people bringing hope to those in our church and community. We are assisted in this by our building, which is open most days in the week for people to visit, pray and for us to hold services for everyone St James is a Waterloo church which is visible from the railway and the river. It contains a set of bells and a unique J C Bishop organ. We are part of a United Benefice with St Anne, Bermondsey  and have close links with our primary school, the Salmon Youth Centre and St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey. We are committed to sharing the message of God's love with the people of Bermondsey.
