On September 1st at the One Centre, 10 Frog Island at 7pm many are gathering from churches in Leicester(shire) to pray and worship together.

"Over the past few weeks we have all been aware of unrest in our country, even in our own city. Our nation has been disturbed by sad events, and prejudice, violence and hatred have again surfaced.

Jeremiah 29:7 reminds us to pray for the prosperity of the cities we live in, that God's peace would reign and light will overcome the darkness. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 also calls us to pray for those in authority, as they make decisions and take measures to maintain peace across the land. As the church in Leicester we are called to demonstrate unity and be a sign and a symbol, an incredible example of deep love across ethnicities, always demonstrating real love in action and a place of refuge for all who need a home."
