Sapcote: All Saints

Philippians 2 v5-11

During this week of Global prayer, we can pray through a verse of the suggested scripture each day.

Wednesday

Phil 2 v 8  “And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death –even death on a cross!”

Jesus came to earth fully human and fully divine, with the frailties and emotions that we all feel. He grew tired, thirsty, and hungry. He felt pain, bled, and aged over time. He experienced real human emotions like sorrow, weeping, and deep joy.

Lord Jesus, our strength and hope, we thank you for your sacrifices on our behalf. We can be assured that you understand our weaknesses and our struggles. You did not turn from your destined path but walked a path of humility to the cross, You came as a human not because God needed to do that, but because we needed him to do it for us. Help us to value others as our equals. Help us to listen more than speak and help us to admit when we are wrong. Help us to rest in your arms. Amen
