LETS GET LOUD fundraising concert.

On Friday 17th November All Saints Church hosted a fundraising evening for Hinckley Area Foodbank featuring  the 'Lets get loud' Choir and Major Carol Evans of the Salvation Army. Arranged at fairly short notice, this concert was well supported by the village and foodbank community.

'Let's Get Loud' Choir, a community choir based in Lutterworth did the opening set of the evening. Only established 2 years ago, they entertained the audience with a range of songs from the last 50 years of popular music. The choir were expertly led by choirmaster Ben Steer and enjoyment seeping from their performance spread throughout the audience.

Major Carol did a smaller set of beautiful ballads and ended the first half of the evening getting the audience to join in with the chorus of a modern children's Christmas carol - pointing the way to an event less than 40 days away!

Following a refreshments interval, Chris Wright, Deputy Project Manger/ Fundraiser for Hinckley Area Foodbank gave a short presentation highlighting what has been locally provided to support the community in times of crisis. His presentation ended with a thoughtful video poem written by those who have received help.

'Let's Get Loud' brought the evening to a glowing end with their second set.

The concert was free to attend but donations were collected for the Foodbank during the evening. The wonderful sum of £632 was raised from this enjoyable evening.

A big thank you to 'Let's Get Loud', Major Carol, Di Harrold (& the All Saints team) and all those who came out to support the event.
