Robert Beevor ‘Sue, Helen and Paul want to thank everyone for their lovely messages, cards and flowers at this sad time. The family will say goodbye to Robert at a private cremation and this will be followed by a thanksgiving service at St. Edmund’s at midday on Friday 28th April and afterwards at Wensum Valley Hotel. We welcome you all to join us for these. Please come in coloured clothing of your choice which may include yellow and green!’

Peter Kerry sadly died peacefully on Thursday evening (just as we were praying and saying Compline). He was a man of wonderful and infectious faith, and we will miss him! Peter loved coming to church, and was a keen participant in the livestreams. He was much loved and is now with the Lord.

Diary date : Open Doors Speaker Sunday 30th April Open Doors originated in the ministry of Brother Andrew who distributed Bibles to persecuted Christian communities in Eastern Europe during the 1970’s. On Sunday 30th April (a fifth Sunday) we will have a visiting speaker at the 11.15am service to tell us more about the work of Open doors today and the plight of the persecuted church. Please put the date in your diaries to come along if you can.

Christian Aid Paul Scarff is again looking for volunteers to deliver envelopes this Christian Aid week, ideally between 7th and 16th May. Last year we delivered over 1,700 envelopes in Taverham and Ringland, and raised over £1,000! If you can help, please contact Paul at [email protected] or 868939.

Calling All Gardeners At St Ed's we plan to hold the Plant Stall again this year beginning the last weekend of May and would appreciate any surplus plants you may be dividing or seedlings you are growing. This year the proceeds will be donated to Christian Aid.

Annual Church Parochial Meeting and Annual Vestry Meeting

These will be at St.Peter’s at 12noon on Sunday 14th May and all our church family are encouraged to attend, to celebrate, reflect and pray for our life and ministry as Christ’s believers in this place.

All those on the Electoral Roll are eligible to vote and please ask the Churchwarden for a form if you would like to go on the Electoral Roll.

Nomination forms for Churchwardens and PCC members are available from the churchwarden or in St Peter's. Please pray if you feel the Lord is calling you or someone else to these roles.

All candidates who are successfully elected will be subjected to our safeguarding processes before their appointment is confirmed.
