Before you get married in a church, you need to have your Banns read in the church where you live and the church where you will get married, if different. This is to make the marriage public and allow anyone who knows a reason why the marriage should not take place to speak up. The Banns are read on three consecutive Sundays in the three months prior to the wedding. You are more than welcome to visit us on a Sunday morning to hear them read.As well as having the Banns published, couples are required to fill in forms and present documents such as their passport to the Vicar. Don't forget these important pre-wedding tasks, and book your appointment to speak to the Vicar in good time before the wedding day. email our administrator Angela on office@batterseafields.org or ring 020 7720 9076
