In this talk we will hear about the history and operations of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (the CWGC) which commemorates, at more than 23,000 locations in over 150 countries and territories, the 1.7 million fallen from Britain and the Commonwealth from the First and Second World Wars. Our speaker, Mike Chapman, has also promised to weave into his presentation the stories of some of the casualties from those two conflicts who were local to this area.

There will be no charge for this talk but donations for the work of the CWGC would be much appreciated.
