Our service begins outside on the south-east corner of the Cathedral Green. Palms are blessed, and we process along West Street into the Cathedral, recalling Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and the beginning of his journey to death and resurrection. When the congregation reaches the Cathedral the service continues with a dramatic reading of the Passion.
3.00pm - Choral Evensong (also livestreamed)

Safeguarding

The Dean and Chapter are committed to the protection of children and vulnerable adults visiting the Cathedral, the Cathedral Choristers, and those attending services as well as any Employees, Trainees and Volunteers.

There are seven people at the Cathedral (two clergy, four staff, and a volunteer team leader) who work closely with the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer and are specially trained and available to talk to anyone who has a safeguarding concern about a child, young person or any adult who may be at risk.
