Venue
Chichester Cathedral
Address
West Street Chichester, PO19 1PX, United Kingdom

Join us at Chichester Cathedral for an extraordinary event marking the start of our 950th-anniversary celebrations, Chichester950!

Draw950 invites children, families, and caregivers to take part in crafting a monumental artwork that brings the Cathedral's incredible history to life.

Imagine the historic Nave floor transformed into a giant canvas, stretching its full length, waiting for you to make your mark. With sheets of paper covering this awe-inspiring space, you'll help illustrate key moments from the Cathedral's rich 950-year journey—from its construction in 1108, the completion of the magnificent spire around 1402 (and its dramatic collapse in 1861!), the turbulent times of Henry VIII and the Tudors, through to present day.

Your drawings will create a living timeline—a unique masterpiece that connects the past, present, and future – the perfect way to kick-off our celebrations in 2025.

There are five sessions for Draw950:

10.00am - 11.00am
11.00am - 12.00pm
12.00pm - 1.00pm
1.00pm - 2.00pm
2.00pm - 3.00pm
Draw950 requires a ticket to help us give you the very best experience and manage our resources. Please reserve your place.

We kindly ask that all those participating make a voluntary donation, this can either be given when reserving your space or on the day via our donation box. A contribution of £2.00 per child is recommended.
