Did you know that during Lent, as a way to mark the days of fasting and waiting, many churches don't have flowers on display? On Easter Saturday every year at St Saviour's we enjoy a hearty breakfast together before filling the church with vases and arrangements of spring flowers and foliage, ready for our Easter morning celebrations both here and in St George's Nine Elms. We all get involved, whether we have no experience of flower-arranging or have great skills. Either way, the flowers look beautiful!

If you'd like to join us for breakfast you can text 07490 104673 or just turn up at the church from 9.30 am.

If you have a garden and want to bring some greenery or flowers, that would be very welcome. Pairs of secateurs also useful.

Nine Elms, St George's Battersea Fields

St George's Nine Elms is a welcoming church family that enjoys gathering on Sundays for worship, learning and friendship. Our services are quite informal with a mix of traditional and contemporary words and hymns. There are always separate fun activities and learning for children.

We meet in a lovely modern building off Thessaly Road, 9 minutes' walk from Battersea Power Station tube. At the heart of our life together is a desire to grow in faith, in friendship, in life and in service.  We offer an open invitation to anyone who wants to share this journey with us.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Battersea Fields is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Southwark’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO (Johanna Clarke, c/o the parish office email address: [email protected] or telephone 020 7720 9076) or contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor on 020 7939 9423.
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
