We are having a day out at the Community of the Resurrection at Mirfield (near Huddersfield), on Friday, October 18th. The Community of monks has a long history and there are lots of facilities such as a library, bookshop, prayer facilities, even bed and breakfast for those wishing to retreat for a while. We will join services at midday, followed by Holy Communion, and hopefully also a member of the Community will offer discussion on some aspect of Christian life. We will each take our own packed lunch. There is a cost of £10, payable on the day. If you would like to go, please contact Rev'd Denise. We will arrange transport.

Our parish of Stalybridge: St George is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. Our Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information. The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO is Abbey Clephane-Wilson, who can be contacted at [email protected] or at 0161 828 1465 / 07384 460958. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA or our PSO.
