About Us

WELCOME
Welcome to Whitwick Parish Church's website. We are a friendly bunch, and we'd be delighted to welcome when you can join us.
We're a member church of the United Benefice of Whitwick, Thringstone and Swannington.

OUR PRIORITIES
To worship God, to grow in faith, to serve the people of our parish and community, and to share Christ's love and truth through our living witness.

OUR SERVICES
See the 'Services' page of this website for details of upcoming services.
The music at all services is led by a very able musical director using a variety of musical styles.
We usually use Common Worship liturgy, with songs and Bible readings projected digitally on screens.  Readings and prayers are led by members of the congregation

Morning Service: Sunday Services are at 10.30am include Holy Communion, Morning Worship and All-Age Worship services. On the fifth Sunday of a month we often join together for worship with the other three churches in Whitwick of Thringstone.
After morning services, refreshments are served so we can chat together and welcome newcomers.

Evening Services: These start at 6.00pm (4.00pm in winter) but do not take place every week.
On the first Sunday in the month we have Holy Communion. On the third Sunday we have an informal service (which we call 'Christian Conversation'); this focusses on worship songs but we set aside some times to chat informally to encourage each other spiritually.

Muddy Church: On the fourth Sunday of each month, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM we meet outside for a child-friendly time of games, stories and craft activities

OPEN CHURCH
The Church is open on Wednesday mornings, from Spring to Winter, between 10.00am and 12.00pm for coffee/tea and chat and to welcome any passing visitors.

PARKING ON SUNDAY MORNINGS                                  Parking is limited near the Church.
