Not everyone feels happy at Christmas. This may be due to being alone, the loss of a loved one, separation or divorce. It may be due to unemployment, illness - or many other reasons.
In a Blue Christmas service, people can come as they are, with all their feelings of sadness or grief, and know they are not alone.
The service lasts about 45 minutes. It is calm and quiet - we will listen to carols but there's no singing. It is very suitable for those who don't often go to church.
Do come along - and maybe invite someone you know, who deserves a peaceful Christmas.

Newton-by-Castle Acre: St. Mary & All Saints

Welcome to Newton Church.

St Mary and All Saints is one of the oldest churches in Norfolk still in regular use. Its imposing Saxon tower has looked out over the surrounding countryside for around one thousand years.  Although there have been alterations and improvements, Newton Church still looks much the same as it did back in the 11th century.

Our congregation is a small, friendly group of worshippers, living in Newton and in the surrounding area. Newton Church offers traditional BCP services monthly, and is part of the Nar Valley Benefice.
