About Us

The village of South Acre has almost disappeared. The Church of St George is one of those unspoilt treasures. The church building owes much to the endeavours of the Harsyke family. There is a magnificent alabaster and marble monument to Sir Edward Barkham former Lord Mayor of London and his wife. In the north aisle lies the effigy of a Knight Templar.

In South Acre the population is only 25.

If you have had any previous connection with, or a love of, St George’s Church then we invite you to help the congregation to retain this building for future years.

Donations may be sent to the Church Treasurer – James Stephenson , 46 Eastfields, Narborough, Kings Lynn, Norfolk PE32 1ST

Cheques should be made payable to South Acre PCC.
