About Us

'Watch and Pray' is the distinctive message on the clock face of the Church of All Saints - West Acre. The tower dates from 14th century. Alongside the church is the gate house of the former Abbey of West Acre. Although only a few fragments remain - especially of the tower and chapter house, the Abbey itself was more influential than that of neighbouring Castle Acre.

The Church is listed on the Historic England Heritage at Risk RegisterIt needs repairs to the churchyard walls, church roofs and electrics at a cost of approximately £350,000 an immense task for a small community. In West Acre the population is only 175.
