About Us

Narford Church stands in fields, a little way from the road. It is close to Narford Hall, the seat of the Fountaine family since the 17th century. Nowadays Narford's population is less than fifty, so its church is only open a few times a year. Services are held at nearby Narborough Church, which is open daily.

At one stage Narford Church was derelict. But thanks to the efforts of Rev Canon Stuart Nairn, and some generous donors, the church is restored, although there is still further work to do.

The grand monuments of times past, mixed with the quiet emptiness of today, combine to give Narford Church a very special atmosphere. It is well worth a visit.
