Following the success of our Family Services the PCC have decided to change some of the timings. From 3th May 2015 Sunday Services are to be as follows:
!st Sunday 8.00 am Holy Communion, 10.00 am All Age Family Service 6.00 pm Eucharist
2nd - 5th Sundays (am) 8.00 am Holy Communion, 10.00 am Eucharist (In Church) 10.00 am All Age Family Service (Church Hall)
2nd - 5th Sundays 6.00 pm 2nd Sunday - Evensong, 3rd Sunday - Taize 4th or 5th (Last) Sunday - Service for Healing and Wholeness
Other Seasonal Services as appropriate or by arrangement
In the first Quarter of 2008 a substantial re-ordering project was undertaken and we are now in a position to share this experience with all interested parties. It is felt that an ancient place of worship has been sensitively modernised by making it much lighter, warmer and welcoming while at the same time preserving and enhancing its historical features. Anyone who wishes to visit is invited to make contact and arrange for viewing at times when the church is not already open.
We also welcome enquires from anyone searching their family history to come and explore details that are available.
We have recently been advised that a Gargoyle in the North Aisle is a Sheelah-na-gig, which is a pre-christian fertility symbol and now subject to further investigation.
""Messy Church" - is for the children and follows the Family Service on the First Sunday of each month from 10.45 am in the Church Hall where parents can have a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit along with those who attended the service for a chat and fellowship.
