Small Groups

We have a number of small (and not so small!) active groups here at the Good Shepherd Church. These groups play an important role in the Good Shepherd community, encouraging faith through fellowship in the informal setting of the host’s home or in our hall.

There are currently a few house groups that meet on a regular basis.

Each of our groups is very different in feel from the others with some having members from other churches or those who can’t make a regular Sunday service, but all are focused around the Bible, Prayer and tea!

If you’d like to join a group, or pop along to one of their meetings to find out more – please get in touch with the contacts below or the Vicar or Administrator.

Manna is a women’s fellowship group that meets on Thursday afternoons, 2.30-4.15pm.

Our name comes from the Bible. Manna was the food, or bread, which God provided every day in the wilderness. It was good stuff and kept God’s people going for 40 years!

In John’s Gospel (John 6:37), Jesus declares: “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”

We all share a desire for more of Christ, and want to encourage each other in our walk with the Lord. We meet together informally for worship, Bible Study, sharing and prayer in members’ homes, finishing with tea and snacks. We are always happy to welcome new members.
