On Friday 2nd June, we will welcome the eight voices of Mosaic to Seagrave church – Loughborough’s answer to Voces8 - bringing us a varied programme of beautiful music to suit all tastes. Their repertoire ranges from Bach to the Beatles and includes sacred and secular classical masterpieces along with settings of folk songs, spirituals, jazz standards and popular music. Recent programmes have included extracts from Rheinberger's Mass in E flat; a Swingle setting of a Bach fugue; Holst's Nunc Dimitis; Three Spirituals (Good News, Battle of Jericho, Steal Away); Eric Whitacre's Sleep; settings of Beatles' songs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYSjHduK09s); Johnny Mandel's Shadow of Your Smile (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkEr54VWj1w) and Hamilton's Cry Me a River as well as their best YouTube hit, Blue Skies by Irving Berlin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0oGyg_e5BY .
