Remembrance Sunday

About 100 people were joined by two local riders and their horses on Sunday 10th November for an Act of Remembrance at the village War Memorial, led by Revd Nigel Elliott. Children from Seagrave School read bible passages and the names of those from the village who gave their lives in the two world wars.  Revd Nigel gave a short, meaningful talk, mentioning the trauma and sadness of ongoing conflicts and closed the service with prayers for those in need. Afterwards, people gathered in the village Memorial Hall for tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits and an opportunity to chat.
