Welcome to St Matthew's Worthing!

We believe in our town and local community and we want to invest in it in every way we can, playing our part in making it a great place to be. Believing in God inspires our believing in Worthing. 

We know it can feel daunting to try something new, so our aim is to help you feel at home.

You can expect us to…

Offer a generous warm welcome– we are a ‘come as you are, be yourself when you get here!’ sort of church. Some of us live very locally, others come from across Worthing. We have a good number of different nationalities and a spread of ages including children and young people. We will welcome you warmly whilst respecting your space.

Open a way in to Jesus– We want to discover more of him, together, in deeply life changing ways. Knowing Jesus makes life look different and feel different as his love begins to change us. If you feel you know very little about Jesus, then this is the place for you. No previous experience is required, and we are all on a journey to discover more.

Encourage Community - There is a real buzz around the site with groups for all ages and many things happening every day of the week. You decide when and where to be involved and there are lots of opportunities.

Involve you- We believe God values every single person. You matter to him and he gives each of us a real purpose. We may find it amongst our friends, family, at work or in the community.

Each month we host a gathering for those who have joined us recently, so we can get to know one another and so you can find out more of what we’re all about. Contact us to find out when the next one is running.
