A quiet, contemplative start to Sunday to inspire you for the rest of the day using traditional prayers and readings from the Book of Common Prayer, spoken not sung. The poetic words, as well as St Nicholas's awe-inspiring Saxon arches, ensure you feel part of a long line of worshippers who have praised and sought God's help in this corner of Sussex down the ages.

St Nicholas' Church

Everyone is welcome at all our services, from the spoken Holy Communion (8am every Sunday) which uses the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, to the relaxed 10.30 Thursday Eucharist. Our 10.00 main Sunday service lasts under an hour and is a blend of traditional music, hymns and contemporary words. Read more about what to expect from these services on our website.

Safeguarding

Worth Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact our own safeguarding officer, Anita Wilkinson, please email [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
