Our Building
Nominally during the daytime, as far as practically possible
Grade II* listed... and thoroughly deserving of this label, even though the present building only dates back to the mid-1900's. Acclaimed stained glass and acoustics. Designed by architect Mr Goodhart-Rendel. Foundation stone laid by the then Duchess of Edinburgh, before she became Queen.
Music and Worship
Pre-Covid, the church was often used for choral and orchestral concerts, and rehearsals. Though such activities are not allowed in the current pandemic situation.
Bought from St Catherine's College Chapel, Cambridge, in 1976, and installed in wooden casing designed and constructed by Mr Walter Cruttenden, the then Church Warden. It bears the coat of arms of St Catherine's College and Hastings Borough.
In normal times our robed choir leads the music at our main sung services. Under the directorship of our organist Richard Eldridge, they meet to practice in church on Thursday evenings. However these activities are not allowed in the current circumstances.
