Opening
The Church is open every day thanks to the dedication of a team of volunteers.
Getting here
St Andrew's Church was built in the 12th century and was added to in the 13th. In October 2003, it was struck by lightning and badly damaged, which enabled the long wished for refurbishment to be carried out. A Victorian storeroom has been extended and turned into a small kitchen and wheel chair accessible w.c. While the RAF was at Tangmere, the church was very much part of their life and the churchyard contains quite a number of graves of pilots, both Allied and German, who gave their lives in the Battle of Britain, and later. These graves are superbly maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
