St Peter’s church is in the parish of South Lancing and Sompting, which also includes the historic St Mary's church and St Michael and All Angels. The church building at St Peter's is a modern multipurpose structure without fixed seating, making it a versatile space that can house a wide range of activities and events.

The Parish of South Lancing and Sompting is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO.
