Each Christmas we collect for a local charity/cause where we support local community which has in the past included presents for disadvantaged families and children. This year we are collecting for new resources for Sidlesham Primary School’s newly formed Nurture Provision for children with Special Educational Needs & disabilities (SEND). Sadly there is a growing need of children with additional needs nationally, and our community. Sidlesham Primary School recently created a new Nurture Provision to provide a safe and supportive environment for these children who are facing emotional or behavioural challenges that may hinder their learning to help them foster resilience, grow in confidence and aid them in forming positive relationships all which help them to learn academically. Children today face a host of challenges that can affect their wellbeing, including anxiety, low self-esteem, the effects of trauma, unstable home environments and the effects of Covid. Along with the school we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive - not just academically, but emotionally and socially . Providing additional resources will help the school help these children and their families, and in turn our community. We know it is a difficult time for many but every little really does help and we would like to thank you in advance for your support.
We look forward to welcoming you over Christmas at either our candlelit carols, family nativity and/or Christmas day services.
