Church of The Good Shepherd, Shoreham Beach

Welcome to the Church of the Good Shepherd on Shoreham Beach, West Sussex.

We are a lively and inclusive church with a unique location right on the beach.

We have recently developed a new mission statement:

The little church on the beach with a big welcome, a big heart and on a big journey.

A big welcome

We seek to be an inclusive community, affirming diversity and welcoming all.

A big heart

We seek to bless our neighbourhood, contribute to the common good, cherish the environment and look after each other.

A big journey

We seek to know God, rejoice in our creative gifts and the spiritual life of abundance given to us in Christ.

The parish of Shoreham Beach: Good Shepherd is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
