The Turner Hall

The Turner Hall, situated opposite the church in Church Road, North Leigh offers an excellent facility for small to medium sized social and business events.

Although built in 1996 the Turner Hall is of traditional construction and sits in the oldest and arguably most attractive part of North Leigh. The surroundings of fields, the Church, the Old Vicarage, the Old School House, and Church Cottage, not only give the hall an interesting historical environment but also an idyllic rural feel.

The building comprises of the main hall room which can comfortably sit 60 and take over 100 standing, a kitchen, entrance hall, and of course, ladies, gents and disabled toilets. A serving counter with roller blind separates the kitchen and main hall.

Key features of the hall are the large off road parking and fully enclosed lawned garden. For those considering events involving young children, the elderly or disabled the security this offers will be appreciated. A large marquee is also available for hire, providing substantial additional accommodation in the garden, but linked to the main hall by the garden door. The marquee comes complete with coconut matting flooring and gas heating to provide comfort around the year.

The hall comes with 10 tables and 60 comfortable dining/conference chairs, and four small children’s height tables with 16 chairs. Additionally 60 attractive cups saucers and side plates are available for an additional hire charge. The kitchen includes a cooker, two sinks, large work surface, refrigerator, urn and similar basic facilities for those whose requirements include catering. The hall is also fully carpeted and heated.

The main room is designed so that it can be easily set up for presentations. All windows have curtains should the light level need to be lowered, although on the south facing side of the hall is a continuum of ceiling to floor windows looking out over the garden that capture any sun that is shining! 

Although ideal for many events, we would like to point out that teenage parties and discos are not allowed, for reasons that we are sure will be appreciated by all. However we believe that the Turner Hall offers a perfect setting for nearly all other requirements and will be appreciated and enjoyed by all.
