THE EASTER TRIDUUM The three days observing the Easter story.
Maundy Thursday 28th March 8.00 p.m. Combined service with St Peter Offham held at St Peter Offham, The Drove, Offham. We remind ourselves of Jesus’ new commandment of love (mandatum novum, hence ‘Maundy’).
Good Friday 29th March 11.00 a.m. All Saints Plumpton. We hear the account of Jesus’s death.
The Easter Vigil Saturday 30th March 7.30 p.m. Combined service, All Saints Plumpton. The Easter Vigil is a drama of light and dark. The Pascal candle is lit from a new fire and everyone’s candles are lit. We hear the ‘Exsultet’ the ancient song of praise. We renew our baptismal vows and share the Eucharist.
