Access Information

We have finished our access project making entry to the church much easier!

Access to the church is fully ramped with a 1in 30 even slope with a hand rail and clearly marked changes in gradient.  Once at the top of the slope entry into the main body of the church is level and doorways are over 100cm wide. There is also access from the pavement via three shallow steps.

The seating in the church is single chairs which can easier be moved around to accommodate visitors.  We usually have a few space at the end of the aisle which more space for mobility aids, pushchairs or wheelchairs.  Let us know if you wish to sit anywhere particular.

There are two steps with a hand rail on both sides to the choir stall and vestry,  a short steep ramp sits next to these.  The altar rail is accessible this rail, please either kneel or stand to receive communion, we also always bring communion down into the congregation for those for whom this is easier.

The altar is on a raise dais which has no sloped access currently.

Our orders of service should be available as PDFs on the Order of Service page of this website, if screen reading is easier for you.  There should be large print (font 16) available, but if we have run out we can quickly produce one for you.  Currently we don't have any large print hymn books.

In church we have a basket of helpful items, please help yourself to ear defenders, coloured films, fidgets, magnifiers and blankets.

There is a fully accessible toilet at the back of church, which is easily usable during the service.  After the service we also have accessible toilets in our hall which has ramped access to the side.

Our carpark is not currently marked with designated bays or disabled bays and has a rough surface, please do be careful when in the car park.

If you have any questions about access, please don't hesitate to get in touch, it is important to us that everyone is welcome and able to fully fulfil their vocation within church.  We want to use the gifts you have to offer and are happy to make whatever adjustments we can to enable that to happen.
