St Peter
Welcome to the parish church of St Peter, Cowfold in the Diocese of Chichester. We are a friendly and welcoming church linked with Holy Trinity in Lower Beeding and St John's, Coolhurst. The church building dates back to the 13th century and has many interesting features including some ancient stained glass windows and a brass to Thomas Nelond from the Priory of Lewes.
The church is open every day for visitors and private prayer.Our pattern of Sunday services is given below.
1st Sunday of the month - 10am Parish Eucharist
2nd Sunday - 8am Holy Communion; 10am 'Short and Sweet' Family Service
3rd Sunday - 8am Holy Communion; 11:15am Parish Eucharist; 6pm Taize Worship by Candlelight
4th Sunday - 10am Parish Eucharist
5th Sunday - 8am Holy Communion; 10am Joint Eucharist alternating between St Peter Cowfold and Holy Trinity Lower Beeding -

St John The Evangelist (Benefice of Lower Beeding and Cowfold)
St John’s Church, Coolhurst, is situated on the edge of beautiful woodland belonging to the Coolhurst Estate. It was built by Charles Scrase-Dickins of Coolhurst and consecrated in 1839. A history of the church can be found in the About Us section. There is a regular service of Holy Communion here every Sunday at 8:30am and Book of Common Prayer Evensong is held here at 3:30pm on every second Sunday of the month.
