Getting here
St Peter’s Church is the ancient parish church of Henfield and although now slightly hidden, is on the highest part of the village.
To find St.Peter's from the High Street (A281) enter Church Street, opposite the White Hart Pub and travel west. By car take the second turning on the left, Church Lane, and St.Peter's is in front of you. Parking is available in front of and to the rear of the Church Hall which is opposite the West End of the Church. By foot it takes just a 10 minute walk from the High Street. Proceed west along the southern side of Church Street. The path will take you slightly left from the road and through Church Terrace to the Church Yard. The walk will take you between some of the wonderful clipped yew trees for which the church yard is famous.
